40 TON CRANE INSTALLED IN TITUSVILLE OPPORTUNITY PARK'S BUILDING 73 FOR ROSER TECHNOLOGIES Titusville, PA September 5, 2001
The Titusville Redevelopment Authority accepted delivery today on a massive 40-ton crane purchased for Building 73 of Titusville Opportunity Park. The crane was purchased by the Authority for use by
the industrial parks newest tenant, Roser Technologies, Inc., and was a necessary step in closing the deal, which brought RTI to Titusville.
Dan Roser, RTI co-owner stated "The assistance that we have received from the Titusville Redevelopment Authority has been an invaluable asset in RTI's development. Mike Allyn's economic development team has worked hard to get us here and are doing all they can to make our decision of making Titusville our company's home as economically advantageous as possible."
It is taking a crew of five approximately two days to install the 96,000 pound crane, which has a 90 foot span and lifting capacity of 40-tons, made its way to Titusville from Michigan where it was
manufactured specifically for its new home at Titusville Opportunity Park at a cost of $151,636.00 to the Redevelopment Authority.
Ron Wig, TRA's Business Outreach Coordinator stated that "We are all pleased to see the RTI project coming together. Jack and Dan Roser are making a significant investment in our community by locating their company in Titusville Opportunity Park. In turn, the community through Titusville Redevelopment Authority is responding in kind with the purchase of this crane as well as the building renovations and structural improvements necessary to facilitate RTI's manufacturing needs." He went on to say "It is extremely gratifying to see heavy industry with family sustaining jobs return to the site where our fathers and grandfathers worked hard to help build this community."
RTI is an innovative specialty fabrication business, which will manufacture newly designed components for the steel industry and anticipate beginning production in early October.
RTI plans to initially employ about 12 people but expect that number to swell to 40 within the next two years.
